Job Description:
The Allegheny Health Network (AHN), Cardiovascular Institute is
recruiting a full-time Cardiovascular Critical Care Physician to
join our team serving the Greater Pittsburgh areas. Increased
demands amongst our patients for advanced technological procedures
create an opportunity for our Critical Care physicians to be at the
forefront of cutting edge medicine. Cardiovascular Critical Care
Physicians play an integral role in the best possible outcomes for
our patients. Job Duties - Excellence in high level acuity of
Cardiovascular Care including pre and postoperative care, heart
transplant and/or Ventricular Assist Devices, acute mechanical
circulatory support and cardiogenic shock. - Clinical
responsibilities include multidisciplinary rounding of intensive
care patients within 24 bed CT surgical ICU. - Management of
cardiac, vascular and thoracic surgical patients, as well as
post-liver transplant patients within the Cardiovascular ICU. -
Well supported by APP coverage. Job Qualifications - Exposure to,
or experience in the management of mechanical circulatory support
devices - MD or DO degree and completed an ACGME-accredited
critical care fellowship - Board Eligible or Board Certified in
Critical Care - Pennsylvania Licensure in good standing upon hire -
Board Eligible or Board Certified in Cardiovascular Critical Care
