Job Description UPMC Family Hospice is hiring an IP Hospice Aide
/n Provide designated care under the direction of the primary
service provider in the hospice inpatient unit (IPU) to achieve
identified goals of patient care. /n Monday-Friday daylight and
night hours, 12-hour shifts, rotations for weekends. /n UPMC perks,
and benefits options Responsibilities: /n /n - Participate in all
required agency meetings. /n - Identify, develop and participate in
process improvement opportunities within the home health agency
that will enhance the quality of services we provide. /n -
Communicate appropriately with the interdisciplinary IPU care team
in a timely manner, reporting any changes in patient's condition to
appropriate professional staff. /n - Provide safe and direct
personal care to patients in the IPU setting under direct
supervision of appropriate professional /n - Fulfill agency
responsibilities by completing all required forms accurately and in
a timely manner. /n /n - High School Diploma or GED - Required /n -
Must have successfully completed a training and competency
evaluation program as specified in Home Health and/or Hospice as
applicable:? Condition of participation: Home Health aide services.
/n - One (1) year experience - Preferred /n - Certified Nurse Aide
-Preferred /n - Must maintain annual competency evaluation scores
as determined by regulatory requirements. Licensure,
Certifications, and Clearances: Required: CPR required based on AHA
standards that include both a didactic and skills demonstration
component within 30 days of hire /n - Basic Life Support (BLS) OR
Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) /n - Act 33 /n - Act 34 /n -
