Join UPMC Altoona and be part of a team that values excellence, collaboration, and professional growth. /n /n - Graduate of a Co ARC (Committee on Accreditation for Respiratory Care) approved Respiratory program required. /n - Associate's degree is required; Bachelor's degree is preferred. /n - 4 years of total respiratory care experience with a minimum of 3 years in critical care is required. /n - Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) license in practicing state required /n - Basic Life Support or Cardio Pulmonary Resuscitation required /n - Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) from the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC) required /n - Respiratory therapists who receive their RRT credential from the NBRC after July 1, 2002 are required to maintain certification under the NBRC guidelines Licensure, Certifications, and Clearances: CPR required based on AHA standards that include both a didactic and skills demonstration component within 30 days of hire /n - Basic Life Support (BLS) OR Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) /n - Osteopathic Respiratory Care OR Respiratory Care Practitioners (RCP) /n - Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) /n - Act 33 with renewal /n - Act 34 with renewal /n - Act 73 FBI Clearance with renewal /n /n UPMC is an Equal Opportunity Employer/Disability/Veteran
