For more than a century, UPMC Magee has been caring for women through all stages of their lives, and we are looking for the next talented employee to join our team. /n /n Orthopedics (4100) is a 30-bed medical-surgical orthopedic unit that primarily cares for patients who have undergone elective surgeries such as hip and knee replacements, and we also receive all of Magee’s post-op bariatric surgery patients. We frequently use specialty orthopedic equipment such as continuous passive motion machines and bed trapezes. This is a patient-centered rehabilitative unit, a great environment for someone who wants to be directly involved in rehab as well as care; we also receive an overflow of general med-surg patients, making 4100 a perfect fit for graduate nurses and nurses seeking to build broad knowledge and/or gain new experience. /n /n What can you Expect as a Professional Staff Nurse? /n The Professional Staff Nurse provides highly competent patient care and treatment while demonstrating empathy and a passion for learning. This position will work three 12-hour rotating shifts including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays. /n *Hours and travel are subject to change based on business needs /n - Six months of experience preferred. /n - No degree preference- ASN, BSN, MSN all welcome! /n /n Licensure, Certifications, and Clearances: /n /n - Registered Nurse (RN) /n /n - Current licensure either in the state where the facility is located or, if the facility is in a state covered by the multistate Nursing Licensure Compact (NLC) agreement, a multistate license issued by a participating NLC state.
