RN - Inpatient Wound Care

Summary: Implements and coordinates clinical services for patients at risk for developing pressure ulcers and those with wounds in inpatient settings to provide consistent quality care. Collaborates closely with physicians, outpatient and inpatient health care professionals. Alternates sites of care, and Wound Care Center staff and Physicians. Implements and manages overall success of inpatient Wound Care Program (i.e., operations, patient care coordination, quality management, and education). Assists with budgets, reimbursement, and personnel issues. Formal Education Required Bachelor’s of Science in Nursing (BSN) Applicants with an Associate’s degree will be considered but are required to obtain BSN within three (3) years of employment Graduate of a program of professional nursing that is accredited by the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE) or Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing (ACEN) Current license to practice registered nursing in the State of Ohio Experience & Training Required One (1) year recent clinical experience (e.g., Skilled Nursing Facility, Sub acute, LTAC, Home Health Care) which has provided an opportunity to acquire advanced knowledge, skills, and experience in comprehensive wound management to include assessment, coordination of patient care needs, and patient/family and professional education. Other Skills, Competencies and Qualifications Skill in verbal and written communication to effectively interact with physicians, patients, families, health care professionals, and others. Demonstrates advanced knowledge, skills, and exercise competence (i.e., assessment, comprehensive wound management, interpretation of diagnostic data, coordination of patient care, completion of plan of care and all aspects of nursing, patient and family education). Ability to effectively interact with populations of patients/customers with an understanding of their needs for self-respect and dignity. Level of Physical Demands Light: Exerts up to 20 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 10 pounds of force frequently, and/or a negligible amount of force continuously. Many factors, such as years of relevant experience and geographical location are considered when determining the starting rate of pay. We believe in the importance of pay equity and consider internal equity of our current team members when determining offers. Please keep in mind that the range that is listed is the full base salary range. Hiring at the maximum of the range would not be typical.
