  • Perform rapid, accurate assessments of patients in emergency and critical conditions.
  • Triage patients based on the severity of their conditions to prioritize care delivery.
  • Administer medications, IV fluids, blood products, and emergency interventions as ordered.
  • Monitor vital signs and patient responses to treatments, reporting changes promptly.
  • Assist physicians with procedures such as intubations, sutures, chest tubes, and wound care.
  • Initiate life-saving measures in trauma, cardiac arrest, stroke, and other emergencies.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams including physicians, techs, and social workers for comprehensive care.
  • Educate patients and families regarding conditions, treatments, and discharge instructions.
  • Document assessments, interventions, medications, and patient outcomes accurately and in real-time.
  • Operate and maintain emergency medical equipment such as defibrillators, cardiac monitors, and EKG machines.
  • Ensure patient privacy, safety, and comfort throughout their stay in the ER.
  • Follow all hospital policies, infection control practices, and HIPAA regulations.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and emergency preparedness drills.
  • Maintain required certifications such as BLS, ACLS, PALS, and TNCC (if applicable).
