We are currently looking to add Psychiatric Nurse Practitioners to our team! About the Role The Nurse Practitioner will be responsible for extending staff psychiatrist services by providing comprehensive psychiatric evaluation, medication treatment, and psychotherapy to patients while providing exceptional customer service to make sure the highest quality work standards are achieved and maintained according to practice policies and procedures. Working as part of a cohesive team in a fast-paced environment. Provide direct psychiatric services through initial comprehensive evaluation, diagnosis, and treatment of patients, including prescribing and administering medications as neededMaintain complete, accurate, timely, and confidential documents inappropriate electronic health records for review by a supervisorProvide consultation and emergency interventions as necessaryPossibly perform patient mapping for our Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (TMS) device (if regulations permit)Focus primarily on mental health populations and establish therapeutic relationships with these patients to add psychiatric expertise to the medical management plan and mitigate any negative impact that behavioral conditions can have on a patient's overall health and well-beingHandle psychiatric emergencies as needed, including being on-callCommunicate with the patient's primary care provider regarding changes in conditions or potential medication changesCollaborate with the supervisor regarding particularly complex behavioral/mental conditions. Maintain partnership with supervisor through regular communication, care plan development, medication management, etc.Provide assistance with ROOTS (Recovery-based Outpatient Opioid Treatment Services) which is a clinic created specifically for the treatment of opioid (narcotic pain pills or heroin) addictionParticipate in quality assurance, educational, and professional meetings as assignedActively participate in regular multi-disciplinary team meetings to assure behavioral health issues are considered and addressed for all high-risk patientsPerforms additional duties as needed up to and including the willingness to be flexible by possibly traveling to other facilities and adjusting your schedule to meet patient needs About You Master's degree or higher in Advanced Practice Registered Nursing (APRN)Current state Nurse Practitioner license, valid and in good standingNationally certified as a Nurse Practitioner (CRNP) with prescriptive authorityKnowledge of medical terminology and pharmacologyUnderstand and comply with HIPAAExcellent communication skills and ability to work well with a team especially in stressful situationsAbility to work well with a teamAbility to provide telehealthKnowledge of developmental and health issues of emerging adultsAbility to maintain professionalism with patients and teammates in a mental health settingAbility to provide telehealthKnowledge of developmental and health issues of emerging adultsAbility to maintain professionalism with patients and teammates in a mental health setting Benefits Full and part-time roles availableFlexible schedulesHealth and Dental InsuranceCEU reimbursementCompensation: $110,000 - $135,000
