position is responsible for the day-to-day maintenance and
operational activities of skilled maintenance and mechanical
workers in maintaining and repairing buildings, grounds, facilities
and equipment at the Murrysville MSA facility (approximately
300,000 square feet + 30 acres of land). This position requires
strong knowledge base of typical facility mechanical systems as
well as manufacturing machinery. General responsiblities will
include implementation of stratregic plan for facilities
maintanence and capital expenditure projects to enhance overall
productivity and efficiency of the facility. This position reports
directly to the Plant Manager. ResponsibilitiesResource
ManagementSupervise and lead team of facilities and maintenance
professionals across a three shift operation.Provide leadership and
prioritize daily activities of maintenance and building service
technicians focusing on safety, quality and equipment
effectiveness.Interface and provide direction to outsourced
contracting firms and vendors.Monitor work of maintenance staff and
provide appropriate support and feedback on their performance.Guide
technicians in pursuit of skills and training required for industry
leading performance and personal development.Facility
SafetyCollaborate with site safety coordinator and plant leadership
team to complete projects and tasks to maintain OSHA VPP Star
status for the facility.Actively promote behavior-based safety
practices and ensure vendor adherence to the plant Contractor
Safety Program.Coordinate Emergency Response management for the
site and manage relationships with local response agencies
(building evacuations, first aid and other emergency situations to
include site security planning and execution). Actively participate
in plant safety programs.Financial PerformancePrepare annual
building services and maintenance budgets (> $2.5M) and utility
allocation schedule.Manage expenses in accordance with approved
operating plans.Maintain existing vendor service partnerships,
reviewing frequently for reliability and cost performance.Capital
EquipmentDefine building services capital needs and prepare
multi-year capital equipment plan.Prepare equipment justifications
for proposed capital and manage project actions/timelines.Maintain
site monitoring system (climate control, security), seeking
opportunities for expanding capabilities to processing
equipment.Maintain existing preventative maintenance activities for
established facilities equipment and lead development to a more
proactive and minimal reactive program.Generate program
requirements for future equipment additions.QualificationsEducation
and experience required:Bachelor's degree in engineering or related
technical field8+ years of facilities engineering/maintenance
experience3+ years project management experienceEducation and
experience preferred:Masters Degree in engineering or related
technical field3+ years' experience in a supervisory rolePMP
CertificationExperience in high volume manufacturing facilityMSA is
