Overview:
Bechtel Plant Machinery, Inc. (BPMI) is seeking several Technical Project Managers for its Monroeville, PA location just east of Pittsburgh. -Bechtel Plant Machinery, Inc. (BPMI) is a project engineering organization supporting the Naval Nuclear Propulsion Program. BPMI provides design, manufacturing, and supply chain management of the fabrication, testing, delivery, installation, and field support of nuclear power plant components installed in submarines and aircraft carriers. In addition, BPMI provides upgraded replacement components in support of refueling and overhaul activities, and aids in the ultimate storage and disposition of spent naval fuel. BPMI also delivers information technology and operational solutions to the Nuclear Navy, enabling them to fulfill their critical mission.

Responsibilities:
This position is a project management oriented position responsible for the development of nuclear reactor and electric power distribution instrumentation and control system related devices and begins with system concept that continues through the end of system life.Specific job responsibilities include defining project scope; developing cost estimates and resource loaded schedules; managing overall costs versus budget; identifying and mitigating project risks; interfacing with and integrating stakeholders support personnel, and management to ensure project objectives are received, developing system performance and test specifications; verification and approval of supplier designs; technical follow through manufacturing, test, and installation; resolution of fielded equipment problems; extensive communications with customer and supplier personnel.

Qualifications:
B.S. or M.S. degree in engineering or a related technical discipline from an accredited college or university.Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience is preferred.Minimum GPA of 3.0 is preferred for newer college graduates.Familiarity with electrical instrumentation, control, and/or power conversion equipment design is preferred.Background should include experience in project management.Holding a project management qualification is desired.A proven track record of effective written and verbal communication skills is preferred.Creative problem-solving capabilities are also preferred.Must be a U.S. citizen due to government security clearance requirements.
