General Summary:The Chief Human Resource Officer (CHRO) is primarily responsible for leading, strategizing, executing, and holding the appropriate employees accountable for achieving goals and results in recruiting, compliance, company culture, and training.Developing and executing human resource strategy in support of the overall business plan and strategic direction of the organization, specifically in the areas of recruitment and hiring, change management, organizational and performance management, employee motivation and retention, training and development, risk management and safety, succession planning, and compensation. Additionally, this position is held accountable for maintaining compliance with applicable HR laws, and minimizing risk.This position is directly responsible for leading employees within the human resources department and indirectly responsible for all employees. The CHRO provides strategic leadership by articulating HR needs and plans to the leadership team.Education and/or Experience:A BS/BA degree from an accredited college/university; MBA or MA/MS in human resources or related field preferred.A minimum of 10 years of HR experience, with at least five years of executive HR experience.SHRM Senior Certified Professional (SHRM-SCP) or SHRM Certified Professional (SHRM-CP) certification preferred.Other Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:Proficiency with Microsoft Suite. Specifically Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.Proficiency and accuracy processing payroll using specialized software.Knowledge of employment laws - FLSA, EEO, ADA, FMLA and other necessary laws and regulationsExhibit a friendly and helpful manner and can work well with others.Ability to handle duties in a manner which develops trust, protect confidentiality, and mitigate risks.Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail and accuracyAbility to communicate orally and writing in a clear and effective manner.Ability to identify and resolve problems in a timely manner.Ability to multitask effectively and efficiently in a fast-paced environment.Essential Duties and Responsibilities:The primary responsibilities of the CHRO are to lead, strategize, execute, and hold the appropriate employees accountable for results in recruiting, compliance, company culture, and training.Work closely with the Talent Acquisition Specialist to help develop comprehensive strategic recruiting plans to meet the human capital needs of strategic goals.Counsel management by providing advice on managing employees. Cultivate and maintain APP culture within a fast-growing organization.Establish and implement HR efforts that effectively communicate and support the company's mission and strategic vision.Research, develop, update the organizations policies and guidelines.Develop HR plans and strategies to support the achievement of the overall business operations objectives.Function as a strategic business advisor to the leadership team regarding key organizational and management issues.Work with the company's leadership team to establish a sound plan of management succession that corresponds to the strategy and objectives of the company.Develop and implement comprehensive compensation and benefits plans that are competitive and cost-effective.Provide overall leadership and guidance to the HR function by overseeing career development, performance management, payroll processing, succession planning, risk management and safety, retention, training, events planning, policy making, compliance, compensation, and benefits.Follow the standards of ISO 13485 and ISO 9001 International Standards.Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.Education and/or Experience:A BS/BA degree from an accredited college/university; MBA or MA/MS in human resources or related field preferred.A minimum of 10 years of HR experience, with at least five years of executive HR experience.SHRM Senior Certified Professional (SHRM-SCP) or SHRM Certified Professional (SHRM-CP) certification preferred.Other Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:Proficiency with Microsoft Suite.
