with minimum of 3 days/week onsite What YOU will do: Aethon is
seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer who will be responsible for
the design and implementation of electronic systems and modules for
current and next generation robotic solutions. In this role, you
will use your experience and expertise to provide technical
leadership for various internal and external projects. You will be
responsible for the specification, design, development, and testing
from prototyping through manufacturing. Experience in embedded
systems, microcontrollers, programmable logic, rapid prototyping,
and integrated wire harness design is required. KEY
RESPONSIBILITES: Design and develop electrical hardware solutions,
drive design decisions across analog, digital, power, safety, and
communication domains Own the full lifecycle of electrical
subsystem development: requirements, architecture, schematic
design, layout, DFM/DFT, verification, and transfer to
manufacturing Plan and lead verification and validation for
electrical systems Translate higher-level product goals into
detailed electrical constraints, specifications, and design control
documents Act as a primary liaison when using external design
partners by defining scope, negotiating technical aspects of
statements of work, reviewing design proposals, and managing
requirements Lead the creation of Design Control documents,
including DFMEA, interface control documents, and system-level
schematics to meet product requirements and long-term
maintainability Coordinate with leadership, program management, and
cross-functional teams to ensure product development activities are
aligned Work with manufacturing and service teams to troubleshoot
issues and analyze data to continuously improve product reliability
Lead and organize root cause analysis of existing electrical

Succeed: Bachelor’s or Master’s in Electrical Engineering or a
related field 10 years of experience in electrical design in
electromechanical systems, consumer/industrial electronics, or
similar background Ability to direct and motivate work efforts of
others as a tech lead Experience with PCB design (Altium
preferred), embedded systems, and electromechanical integration
Fluency in autonomous systems: Various 3D sensor modalities, power
architecture, safety concepts, time synchronization protocols, and
real-time communication Strong electrical analysis, testing, and
troubleshooting skills Familiarity with Linux, Windows, and various
microcontroller IDEs and tools Experience with high-speed
communication interfaces, such as CAN/FD, USB, PCIe, Ethernet, I2C,
and SPI Knowledge of a variety of battery chemistries and use in
mobile or portable platforms Experience with EMC testing,
mitigation techniques, and certification process Knowledge of
developing, testing, or modifying embedded firmware on various
microcontrollers in C, and familiarity with ARM architectures would
be a plus Comfortable working within various IDEs to support your
hardware development and testing Strong interpersonal and
communication skills, written and verbal Experienced with working
with outside vendors and design/fabrication contractors We are an
