engineers turn tough problems into real-world solutions. Join us to
shape the welding strategies behind mission-critical pumps and
equipment built to perform in the harshest environments without

are available for selected candidates. A day in the life Translate
code requirements (e.g., ASME Section IX , NAVSEA 250-1500 , AWS )
into practical, production-ready solutions. Author and maintain
weld procedures (WPS) and welder qualification records (PQR/WPQ).
Walk the manufacturing floor to support GTAW, GMAW, SMAW, SAW,
FCAW, and PTAW operations producing X-ray quality structural and
seal welds. Partner with design and manufacturing to resolve
joining issues and drive continuous improvement. Lead and mentor
engineers while guiding skilled trades and Weld Development Lab
Technicians on materials, joining, testing, and evaluation. What
you'll tackle Determine the right welding techniques and procedures
for diverse applications and qualifications. Create and manage
materials-joining work plans, including schedules, budgets, and
resource needs to meet program milestones. Apply welding metallurgy
to interpret material specifications and solve non-routine
challenges in nontraditional manufacturing and repair contexts.
Proactively identify and validate improved welding processes and
techniques for new and evolving materials. Participate in
cross-functional reviews; support supplier qualification/procedure
reviews and supplier audits. Champion code compliance and contract
requirements throughout procedure and personnel qualifications.
What you bring BS in Welding Engineering, Welding Engineering
Technology, Metallurgy, or Materials Science (advanced degree
preferred). 6 years in a manufacturing environment preferred. Depth
with arc welding processes: FCAW, GMAW, GTAW, SAW, SMAW, PTAW .
Experience with at least one code set: ASME Section III & IX, AWS,
NAVSEA (including NAVSEA 250-1500 exposure a plus). Hands-on
background with carbon, alloy, and stainless steels; nickel and
copper-based alloys; and dissimilar metal welding . Prior
experience as a Welding, Materials, or Manufacturing Engineer.
Strong written and verbal communication for composing and
documenting procedures and processes. Due to DoD requirements ,
must be a U.S. citizen able to obtain and maintain DoD security
