Job Description Job Description Job Title: CNC Lathe Machinist Job Description We are seeking a skilled CNC Lathe Machinist to join our team on the first shift. You will be responsible for setting up and operating CNC turning machines, specifically Mazaks, while working with Fanuc controllers. This role requires a keen eye for detail and the ability to work from blueprints, tooling instructions, and work instructions. Responsibilities Set up and operate CNC turning machines - Mazaks. Utilize controls at the machine for program edits. Work with Fanuc controllers. Interpret and work from blueprints, tooling instructions, and work instructions. Handle documentation and quality inspection. Compute data such as dimensions, rotation speeds, feed rates, and machining times. Collaborate with supervisors, programmers, engineers, and support teams to resolve issues. Rotate between various department work centers as needed. Load and unload component piece parts with weights up to 25 lbs. Essential Skills At least 4 years of CNC Lathe experience. 1 year experience setting up and operating Mazak Lathes. Ability to set up own CNC machines. Proficiency in reading blueprints and using shop math. High school diploma or GED. Additional Skills & Qualifications Experience with CNC setup, CNC mills, and machining. Familiarity with Haas, Axis, and Okuma machines. Skills in precision machining, G-code, and tooling. Knowledge of inspection, calipers, vertical mills, and micrometers. Why Work Here? Work Environment You will be working in a smaller, organized, and spacious machine shop with 45 employees. The environment is well-lit, clean, and equipped with air conditioning. The shop consists of CNC mills, grinders, a full manual machining department, and a small quality and deburring department. You will be working in a facility that focuses heavily on the Aerospace market and offers diverse technical skills and integrated production capabilities. Job Type & Location This is a Permanent position based out of Twinsburg, OH. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $56160.00 - $66560.00/yr.
