Job Description Job Description Job Title: Maintenance Supervisor Job Description The Maintenance Supervisor will supervise and coordinate the activities of production and operating workers, ensuring efficient and high-quality production processes. Responsibilities Recommend measures to motivate employees and improve production methods, equipment performance, product quality, or efficiency. Review operations and confer with technical or administrative staff to resolve production or processing problems. Develop and implement production tracking and quality control systems to detect production problems. Hire, train, evaluate, and discharge staff, and resolve personal grievances. Prepare and maintain production reports and personnel records. Essential Skills Strong verbal communication skills, attention to detail, and problem-solving abilities. Ability to work independently and manage time effectively. Knowledge of raw materials, production processes, quality control, and techniques for maximizing effective manufacture and distribution. Understanding of machines and tools, including their design, use, repair, and maintenance. Familiarity with design techniques, tools, and principles for creating precision technical plans, blueprints, drawings, and models. Additional Skills & Qualifications High school diploma or GED required; an Associate's degree in business or a related field is preferred. Two years of experience in supervision, maintenance technician roles, electrical and mechanical troubleshooting, repair, maintenance management, and safety. Experience in maintenance supervision and manufacturing. Organizational leadership, management, or technical degree will be advantageous. Experience with die casting and union environments. Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Excel. Experience in machine injection molding and high-volume manufacturing is a plus. Why Work Here? Work Environment The work environment is fast-paced, requiring the ability to adjust quickly and manage multiple tasks, including overseeing 21 different machines. The facility is not air-conditioned, and attendance is crucial. The team includes 15 to 20 members and 2 team leaders. Shifts are 12 hours per day, either from 6:30 AM to 7 PM or 6:30 PM to 7 AM, with a 3 days on, 2 days off rotation. Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of Shawswick, IN. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $35.00 - $40.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
