Maintenance & Engineering Manager. The Maintenance & Engineering
Manager plans, leads, and oversees the engineering, maintenance,
and receiving/supply department. To provide plant maintenance,
project engineering and plant support services for operations.
Directly supports all plant operations, either by executing tasks
personally or managing subordinates to ensure effective execution.
This role is located in Duncansville, PA and will be fully
on-site.
Responsibilities
Maintenance & Engineering Manager Responsibilities:
- Professional development of self and
team. Promoting team building and efficiency.
- Timeliness and completeness of engineering projects.
- Plans and formulates aspects of research and development
proposals such as objective or purpose of project, applications
that can be used from findings, costs of project, and
equipment.
- Maintains and oversees department(s) expenses, project
expenses, CAPEX to approved budget.
- Assists in development and administration of annual capital
budget.
- Maximize equipment uptime performance.
- Oversees key projects, processes and performance reports, data,
and analysis. Plans documentation system.
- Ensure proper creation all new documentation, CAD drawings and
spare parts list for associated projects. Included maintaining or
updating existing equipment documentation.
- Develops and implements methods and procedures for monitoring
state of projects such as preparation of records of expenditures
and research findings, progress reports, and staff conferences to
inform management of status of each project.
- Selects correct design concepts and fundamental technology used
for new products or improvement for existing ones.
- Suggest and implement continuous improvement efforts and
innovation related toward safety, quality, efficiency, or cost
savings.
- Safety performance of the engineering department following all
Wieland Small Tube Products safety procedures
- Provide support and participation of implementation of projects
and start-up/ troubleshooting of any equipment.
- Develops and maintains accurate records for project budgets,
total costs, ROI, and productivity efficiency.
- Assist and support maintenance department and plant operations
as requested or assigned.
- Assists others on any projects as assigned.
Maintenance & Engineering Manager Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree within engineering field or equivalent
experience.
- 5+ years of leadership or management experience.
- CAD Package Certificate (Beneficial but, not required) or
equivalent CAD experience.
- Demonstrates characteristics of strong team building and
leadership skills.
- Excellent analytical and critical thinking/ problem-solving
skills.
- Proficient computer literacy with Microsoft office products
(Word, Excel, PowerPoint), Teams, Outlook, etc.
- Ability to communicate technical information to non-technical
audiences. Having strong communication, presentation skills.
Ability to lead a project meeting with deliverables of project,
timelines, and estimates through PowerPoint.
- Effective implementation of project specifications,
requisitions, and all accompanying documentation.
- Efficient thorough record keeping and organizational
skills.
- Ensures that all present equipment and new installations are
safe to operate and meet all regulatory requirements.
- Timely and cost effective completion of assignments with
established timelines.
- Ability to travel domestically and internationally, up to 10%
of the time.
