Our client is seeking an IT Desktop Support Technician III to work
within their facilities located in Glen, NY, for a 6 months
contract. The IT Desktop Support Technician III primary focus is to
be the single point of contact for all IT related issues within the
assigned area. This includes taking ownership of all IT Operation
issues and ensuring escalations are communicated to the appropriate
IT groups when necessary. The IT Desktop Support Technician III
will also assist in determining the root causes of IT issues and
communicate the resolution so that the cause is understood and
addressed. In addition, this position will provide technical and
project support for Infrastructure projects and Operations
initiatives based on business goals and requirements, as defined by
the scope of the projects. Responsibilities:
Interact, build, and maintain strong relationships with all levels
of the organization, especially Field Operations Management
Responsible for supporting all hardware and software on company
computers and providing second/third level desktop support.
Install, troubleshoot and verify operation of Microsoft Windows 10
(64 and 32-Bit) operating systems, standard business applications,
including computer systems, and associated peripherals.
Work with other IT groups to rollout hardware and software upgrades
in your respective area. Implement new equipment, services, as well
as assist with new product testing and special projects.
Provide current communication and assist in the execution of IT
initiatives that might impact the respective assigned sites.
Develop and maintain up-to-date inventory of PCs, accessories and
promote IT standards for their assigned sites.
Respond to phone and email inquiries that are placed in the support
center and directly interact with customers to resolve local and
network related issues.
Follow up with end users to ensure problems are resolved
successfully and satisfactorily.
Provide IT training to customers to ensure successful use of IT
equipment.
Document and revise all resolutions to be updated in IT knowledge
base.
Be able to manage a heavy caseload and respond to customers request
in a timely fashion.
Work flexible schedule and provide off hours support on an On-Call
basis.
Travel expectation: up 75% - Travel to remote sites within a 30
minute to 6-hour radius.
Qualifications (The successful candidate will meet the following
qualifications) :
College or technical school degree is preferred, but not
required
In lieu of a college degree, possessing a combination of any of the
following certifications would be highly desired: A+, MCA, MCP,
MCDST, MCSA, MCSE, Net+, Sec+, ITIL
Ability to diagnose and troubleshoot Windows 10 OS Issues
5 or more years of work-related experience required
Experience in the following IT areas - PC, LAN, WAN, Site to Site
VPN, Wireless, Database and Web\Cloud-based Applications, LANDesk,
SCCM\MECM, MDT, PowerShell, and DOS-based applications are
required
Experience and knowledge of Server 2016 and 2019, Cisco Routers and
Switches
Ability to setup and manage mobile devices(iPhones, Android, etc.)
with Workspace ONE or similar MDM software is required
Experience in setting up HP LaserJet Printers and Multi-Functional
Devices required (Konica preferred)
Experience working with an ITSM software required (Remedy
preferred)
Prior experience in SCADA, Controls, GIS and Measurement
applications preferred
Self-motivated and able to work with limited supervision
Project Management capabilities and reporting skills
Exceptional customer support and delivery, and interpersonal skills
required
Excellent troubleshooting and problem - Solving skills
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Strong organizational skills
Must have a clean driving record, definitely no major
infractions
Must Have a dependable and reliable vehicle
Have a mobile device (Apple\Android) that can be configured to use
with or MDM solution. The device cannot be rooted or Jailbroken as
our system will reject those devices due to security
