Job Description:
Location- Aurora WV, Bridgeport (Onsite)
Duration: 12 MONTHS (Contract to Hire)
PROJECT/SKILLS

Type of background you are looking for (education, # yrs
experience, etc.): engineering degree, technical undergrad
degree/aerospace, composite materials exp. 5 years min exp
Open communication with suppliers?: No
Provides material review dispositions for non-conformances.
Evaluate dispositions based on design and structural impact while
considering cost and schedule . Leads material review board
discussions and acts as a liaison between other engineering
disciplines and our customers. Provides Quality interpretation of
requirements. Works under general direction.
Job Qualifications:
Review, analyze, and provide disposition for discrepant conditions
occurring during production for all AWV programs
Specific Responsibilities:
Review, analyze, and disposition nonconforming conditions on raw
material, detail parts, and assemblies for fiber composites and
metals.
Dispositions to include rework, repair, use as is, scrap, and
return to vendor.
Write rework and repair work instructions.
Create presentations that show and describe the defects completely
for engineering evaluations and customer understanding.
Provide Aurora liaison engineering support to Customers'
Engineering and Quality departments, and any government agencies
(i.e. DCMA) as necessary.
Interpret drawings, specifications and processes.
Provide and retain complete documentation of non-conformances for
trending and historical references.
Minimum Requirements (education and experience):
Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical, Aerospace, or Industrial
Engineering plus 5 years of aerospace industry experience.
Knowledge of composite technology, layup, cure, trim, and assembly,
plus composite repair experience.
Knowledge of geometric dimensioning & tolerancing.
Basic knowledge of advanced inspection media and techniques (Faro
Arm, Laser Tracker, etc.).
Knowledge of machining and metals processing.
Knowledge MS Office applications required.
Physical Requirements:
Normal office requirements
Shift Requirements (specify if irregular work hours or shift work
will be required):
Normal first shift. May be required to support other shifts as
required, on an on-call basis.
