Increase awareness by administering quality training and performing audits. Assists in the development and implementation of the Quality Assurance and control system with emphasis on continual improvement of product and service quality through the application of recognized quality system model, ISO9001. Show a proactive response to manufacturing and customer complaints. Main Responsibilities:Develop & manage the implementation/revision cycle of the company's Quality processes & procedures.Schedule internal audits of Leybold N. America & Export Systems to ensure that the ISO policies are being implemented and effectiveness of site quality system.Follow established quality manuals, procedures, specifications, instructions, quality plans, and other quality tools in support of the company's ISO objectives. Serve as the responsible person for all ISO quality initiatives.Manage and maintain day-to-day to ensure continuous improvements KPI's are being met.Utilize resources available to ensure compliance to documented quality assurance, corporate and production procedures. Prepare reports and analyzes quality data and issues at the facility.Report monthly warranty results, and management of site warranty investigation team.Collect/use data that provides objective evidence of the effectiveness of improvement efforts.Learn production processes sufficiently to allow effective auditing of those functions and propose improvements.Review reject data and prepares trend charts, histograms, etc for use in discussing defect reduction approaches.Complete inspections: Responsible for incoming, in-process or final inspection of parts, finished pumps or systems. Need working knowledge of GD&T and ability to read Engineering drawings. Utilize performance, test, and inspection data to investigate causes for product nonconformance and field problems and plays an active role in problem resolution. Customer Relations: Review feedback from customers (internal and external), either direct or indirect, for quality related issues and when necessary, create, review, approve and/or engage in corrective actions, inspections, and supplier corrective actions. Leads, schedules, and supports the tracking of Customer Complaints and Corrective Actions. Drives Problem Solving culture through the organization. Oversees and participates in external audits by our customers. Able to review project specifications and develop necessary inspection and test plans.Review, track and manage customer complaints (CCM), product non-conformances (NCR), and Discrepant Material Reports (DMR). Communication of results and findings with internal customers. Drive improvements with suppliers.Complete internal root cause analysis when applicable. 5-Why's, 8D, Fishbone, etc.Initiate Kaizen corrective action teams with the purpose of reducing defect occurrences or reversing negative trends in defects observed.Work with purchasing and engineering to approve and rate new vendors per quality system requirements.Respond to requests for information, support, etc., from site, division, and corporate Quality.Provide support for statistical, FMEA, DOE, quality control technology, process change control, etc.Conduct or arrange new employee orientations for quality induction and quality systems.Skills/Knowledge/Experience:Education levelo Bachelor's Degree in relevant Engineering discipline, Quality Management, or related fields. Relevant Previous experience o Minimum 3+ years of experience performing quality, training, and manufacturing service activities in a relevant environment.ggo Manufacturing Engineering is a plusKnowledge areas/Skills o Experience with ISO certifications, Lean Manufacturing, and Manufacturing environments.o Proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint, Word, Excel, Outlook.o Experience with SAP is a plus.Other requirements o Able to handle heavy workloads and prioritize own work.o Results driven natureo High level of integrity and professionalism.o Consistency in task completion, response time, and work efficiency.o A flexible approach, able to cope with a constantly changing environment and priorities.o Good communication skills, written and verbal.o Proactive, strong attention to detail and resilient, self initiator, exercises good use of independent judgement. Physical Demands and Work EnvironmentWhile performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to work near moving mechanical parts. The employee is occasionally at risk of electrical shock and vibration. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit, stand, walk, use stairways to climb to multiple floors within office building, and talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to use hands and fingers to type or dial, climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl, and reach with hands and arms.The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 20 pounds. This position requires frequent computer use. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, distance vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.This position requires occasional travel (5 - 10%); sometimes overnight or multiple days.
