IN A NUTSHELL--- The General Mechanic provides support to the Facilities Operation during the initial set up phase and ongoing operations thereafter. This role provides troubleshooting assistance to ensure that all Facilities Operations and Production/Manufacturing equipment are best-in-class. This role is with Goodblend, one of the renowned retail brands under the Parallel umbrella. WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING Repairing or replacing damaged or defective soap, towel and tissue dispensers, mirrors, etc.Performing labor and/or other semi-skilled trade duties such as, drilling, digging, minor roof repair, gutter cleaning, and replacing missing floor or ceiling tilesPerforming minor plumbing repairs including, clearing stoppages in sanitary or storm drainage systems using plumber's snake, vacuum or manual plungersPerforming other duties as assigned

EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS YOU'LL BRING High School, Technical school or equivalent diploma (Required)Age 21 or over (Required)Minimum of 3-5 years of demonstrated progressive experience in equipment maintenance or any combination of education and training which provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities to perform the essential functions of the roleCannabis industry experience is a plusPractical knowledge and experience of the industrial trades such as carpentry, plumbing, general maintenance, CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System) and repair, preventive maintenance and work orders Demonstrated ability to handle multiple tasks with concentration, speed, and accuracy while exercising all safety precautions and maintaining established service levelsKnowledge of environmental safety laws and regulations that govern the work environment.Highly motivated, self-directed, innovative; able to work independently or among teams with keen judgement, common sense and resourcefulness.Superior communication and interpersonal skills (verbal, non-verbal, written), with the ability to build relationships at all levels, both internally and externally
