dependable and efficient in all we do. JOB SUMMARY The Pipeline
Integrity Engineer (Internal Corrosion) reports to the Supervisor,
Integrity Management. This position has broad responsibilities for
asset integrity and corrosion control. The focus of this role is
managing and maintaining the company’s internal corrosion programs
to include control and mitigation of Microbiological, Acid Gas
(CO2, H2S) and O2 corrosion constituents. This position will lead
the coordination of DTM’s internal corrosion program by evaluating
existing practices, recommending optimized strategies, implementing
strategies, and developing and monitoring program budgets. The
successful candidate will be expected to independently manage core
internal corrosion program activities and drive continuous
improvement of monitoring and mitigation strategies. Location This
position could be located in Houston, TX, Grand Cane, LA, Tulsa,
OK, or Canonsburg, PA. Key Accountabilities Develop and implement
internal corrosion control programs for natural gas gathering and
transmission pipelines, ensuring compliance with CFR 192.475,
192.476, and 192.477. Monitoring Accountabilities Lead internal
corrosion monitoring efforts including corrosion coupons, gas,
liquid and solids sampling, bacteria testing, gas chromatography,
UT monitoring, and ER probes. Recommend, scope, budget, and support
the implementation of new monitoring installations. Coordinate and
manage third-party contractors performing internal corrosion
monitoring and mitigation activities. Mitigation Accountabilities
Develop operational area specific internal corrosion mitigation
plans that address identified threats and damage mechanisms.
Develop and implement corrective actions for monitoring results
that exceed defined action levels or KPIs. Review routine pigging
reports to ensure maintenance pigging activities are completed as
scheduled. Lead routine reviews and provide recommendations for
chemical treatment to mitigate internal corrosion. Data Management
Accountabilities Assist the Information Systems Professional with
the architecture and design of internal corrosion databases.
Maintain and evergreen the IC Monitoring database to ensure
monitoring records remain accurate, current, and complete. Assist
the Information Systems Professional in developing an Internal
Corrosion Mitigation database and tracking system to ensure
maintenance pigging is performed as prescribed in the mitigation
plan. Review internal corrosion monitoring data monthly to identify
exceptions and KPI trends. Ensure all internal corrosion monitoring
and mitigation records are accurate, well organized, and readily
accessible for regulatory audit. Program Management
Accountabilities Lead routine meetings with operational teams to
review program performance, identify emerging corrosion risks, and
drive mitigation actions (in-person and virtual). Prepare reports
and presentations that document findings and provide
recommendations regarding the internal corrosion program. Maintain
and update the Internal Corrosion Program Manual and associated
design standardization drawings. Develop budget, which is inclusive
of new monitoring installations, chemical treatment
recommendations, and manpower requirements for maintenance pigging.
Establish and maintain effective work relationships within the
department, the company, and internal customers. Maintain the
professional competence, knowledge, and skills necessary to
effectively complete responsibilities; enhance job knowledge and
abilities by taking personal responsibility for professional
development and training. Maintain sensitive and confidential
information regarding company information. Responsibilities may
include Department of Transportation (DOT) covered functions,
including operations, maintenance, or emergency response on a
pipeline. Job duties also require the employee to be alert and
respond immediately to dangerous or hazardous conditions, and where
impaired performance, or failure to follow safety precautions,
could result in serious injury or property damage. Perform other
duties as assigned. Minimum Education & Experience Requirements
Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Chemistry, Metallurgy or other
related field, or an equivalent combination of formal education and
job-related experience Minimum 3 years of job-related experience,
additional experience in internal corrosion program management is
strongly preferred. Although candidates with other experience are
encouraged to apply. Experience with internal corrosion monitoring,
mitigation, data management, and program coordination. Experience
in use and function of tools and equipment applicable to position,
including a strong background in MS Excel, Word, Outlook,
PowerPoint, and other computer applications
Interpersonal/communications skills Experience interacting with and
effectively communicating across technical teams, contractors, and
pipeline operations Preferred Education and Experience AMPP
Internal Corrosion certifications. Experience in developing or
leading internal corrosion mitigation programs. Experience and/or
training related to: Evaluation and recommendation of corrosion
control materials, equipment and procedures Company and
governmental standards and regulations Analytical/problem solving
skills Identification and resolution of system deficiencies
Industry (AMPP, INGAA, API) and governmental standards and
regulations Experience compiling and preparing corrosion reports,
regulatory documentation, technical analyses, and supporting
materials including test results, procedures, and training
documentation Experience reading and interpreting pipeline safety
regulations, company operating procedures, engineering standards,
constructions standards, corrosion engineering publications,
accounting manuals and company procedures Experience with Microsoft
Access databases, and RSTRENG Travel Requirements Up to 30-35%
travel will be required for this role . The work will be focused
Louisiana. However, the company operates and may require travel to
TX, MN, WI, IL, IN, KY, TN, PA, WV, OH, NY and MI. Page Break
