Job Description Job Description Engineer - Electrical III Pittsburgh, PA 2 Year contract Top 10% of salaries of industry Skills: high-voltage equipment including transformers, switchgear, generators, and related power distribution components., Hands-on experience designing and supporting power distribution systems, including developing one-line diagrams, electrical schematics, system layouts, and performing load calculations. As an Electrical Engineer III, youll manage complex projects that directly impact operations. Youll apply your expertise to design solutions, troubleshoot issues, and drive innovation. Expect to lead small teams, collaborate across disciplines, and deliver clear presentations to stakeholders. Must Have Experience in power system design, analysis, and simulation (e.g., ETAP, MATLAB, PSCAD, Simulink or similar tools) Experience of high-voltage equipment, transformers, generators, and switchgear reviewing deliverable from contactor's engineering drawings Understanding of grid integration and renewable energy systems Experience in supporting procurement processes for electrical equipment and materials, with established industry contacts for sourcing reliable vendors and suppliers Familiarity within construction field Experience with participation of the commissioning, testing, and startup of electrical equipment to ensure proper functionality and compliance with design specifications Education/Years of Experience: Required: Bachelors degree in electrical engineering field from an ABET accredited college or university, OR bachelor's degree in engineering technology from an ABET accredited college or university in a relevant field with Professional Engineer (P.E.) license and (4) four years engineering experience in natural gas, data centers or related industry Preferred: Masters degree in electrical engineering from ABET accredited college or university
