Job Description Job Description Occupational Therapy Assistant (OTA) degree, active Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) license, and 1 years Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant experience required. A Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) is sought to support a K-12 student population, primarily in elementary settings, within a school district located in Altoona, PA. This contract position offers the opportunity to work Monday through Friday, with workdays spanning 5 to 6 hours, commencing as soon as possible through May 29, 2026. Responsibilities: - Provide occupational therapy assistance in one or two district buildings, assisting students with individualized treatment plans. - Collaborate closely with the district's Occupational Therapy Registered (OTR) who oversees supervision and program direction. - Support the developmental needs of students across a primarily elementary school population while occasionally assisting older students. - Maintain compliance with district policies, documentation requirements, and federal/local regulations pertaining to student therapy services. Qualifications: - Current certification as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) with active professional credentials. - Experience working in school-based environments preferred. - Ability to engage with students across a range of developmental levels K-12, with a focus on elementary. - Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively with educators and district leadership. Location and Schedule: - This position is based in Altoona, PA. - Monday through Friday with 5 to 6 hour workdays.
