Position Overview We are seeking a skilled Estimator to join our team. The Estimator will play a critical role in the pre-construction phase, providing accurate cost estimates and assisting in the bidding process for various construction projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in commercial construction and a keen understanding of project requirements. Key Responsibilities Prepare detailed cost estimates for construction projects including labor, materials, and overhead. Analyze project plans and specifications to determine project scope and requirements. Collaborate with project managers, architects, and subcontractors to gather necessary information for accurate estimates. Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers and subcontractors to ensure competitive pricing. Assist in the preparation of bids and proposals for projects. Monitor cost trends and variations during the construction phase and provide recommendations for cost control. Evaluate and report on the latest construction methods, materials, and technologies relevant to estimating. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in construction management, engineering, or a related field preferred. Proven experience as an estimator in commercial construction projects. Strong understanding of construction processes and cost management. Proficiency in estimating software and Microsoft Office Suite. Excellent analytical and mathematical skills. Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
