Job Description:

improvement. Summary: Assist in providing technical safety
direction and support for project safety and company
injury-prevention efforts. Travel per policy/jobsite. Essential
Functions: Foster the growth of an Injury and Incident Free
Environment by providing leadership and mentoring of associates.
Conduct on-site inspections of construction projects and
maintenance facilities to ensure compliance with established
company, federal and state safety standards. Assist in the
identification, control, and elimination of unsafe acts and unsafe
conditions. Investigate incidents to determine root cause and
implement corrective actions. Assist with the delivery of safety
training. Coordinate and conduct industrial hygiene monitoring for
chemical and physical hazards. Prepare written safety-related
reports. Participate in pre-construction meetings and planning
activities. Assist with recordkeeping and safety metrics. Education
& Training: BS degree in Safety Sciences or equivalent. ASP, GSP,
CSP or similar certification preferred, but not required OSHA
Construction Outreach Trainer CPR, AED and First Aid Experience:
Minimum ten (10) years of construction industry experience. Three
(3) years construction safety experience. Knowledge and Abilities:
Working knowledge of safety standards including OSHA 29 CFR 1926
and 1910, EM 385, DOT, EPA. Strong technical skills are essential.
Microsoft Word and Excel. Physical Requirements: Reaching high and
low, stooping, and bending, lifting/carrying/moving up to 100
pounds continually, able to travel per the company travel policy,
able to concentrate at a high degree in a busy and noisy
construction environment, able to work in all types of weather
Mental Requirements: Rational decision-making ability, attention to
detail, makes final decisions and assumes accountability for them;
demonstrates the ability to separate the people from the problem or
situation, ability to learn quickly and take on new responsibility
