DEPARTMENT: Marketing JOB TITLE: Social Media and Marketing Assistant CLASSIFICATION: Non-Exempt REPORTS TO: Director of Marketing and Communications JOB GOAL: The role of the social media and Marketing Assistant is the development and execution of social media strategies and daily marketing support. The Social Media and Marketing Assistant will be responsible for creating high-quality content for sharing across social media channels while supporting and assisting the marketing team on internal and external marketing opportunities. Another primary goal for this role is to assist the marketing team with administrative tasks and projects MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: --- Bachelor's Degree in Communication, Marketing, Social Media, Design or related field with relevant work experience. --- Diploma or certified courses in design, film, social media, communications, etc. is a plus. --- Minimum of two-years social media development experience with handson content development --- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite --- Familiarity with Sprout Social and reporting social media metrics --- Proficient in Adobe Creative Cloud products including Photoshop, Spark, Illustrator, and InDesign o After Effects and Dreamweaver are a plus. --- Abreast to Social Media trends and emerging platforms --- Innovative, creative, and collaborative --- Excellent verbal and written communication skills --- Child Abuse Clearance; Pennsylvania State Police Criminal Record Check; Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) Clearance ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: --- Create and maintain social media content calendar across multiple cross sections of the school --- Create and pull social reports across all platforms --- Ability to deliver creative content: writing, photo and video assistance (collaborating with the multimedia manager, marketing manager, marketing content associate, and graphic designer to provide targeted graphics reinforcing brand) --- Schedule and post to Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, Pinterest, and Twitter accounts and engage with users --- Actively monitor and evaluate social media performance analyzing insights and trends, while providing data-backed recommendations to share with the marketing team --- Monitor and respond to social channels regularly and on an ongoing basis --- Establish relationships with media professionals and parent influencers on social media --- Help strategize how to expand social media footprint --- Update and maintain internal/external databases of designs, photography, and video --- Support Merit Network for student achievements --- Assist Marketing Content Associate with Editing and Proofreading marketing content and policing the brand --- Support Marketing Manager with supply orders and departmental paperwork --- Support marketing team with apparel and promo items --- Support marketing team with projects and tasks at the direction of the Director --- Attention to detail and ability to contribute, review, and follow documented processes and procedures --- Exhibits a positive attitude and commitment to excellence --- Exhibits superior customer service and professionalism --- Demonstrates a sense of ownership and responsibility with job projects and tasks --- Ability to work independently as well as cooperatively in a team-oriented environment --- Responsible to follow school policy, procedures, and work rules --- Work on-site at the location designated as PA Cyber's main office in order to collaborate and have face to face time with the PA Cyber departments and team members and to have necessary access to the marketing resources, data, and files maintained onsite in the Marketing Department. --- Schedule and attend meetings as requested --- Ability to work under pressure, meet deadlines, handle a variety of tasks simultaneously --- Travel is required, must be able to travel --- Work extended hours as needed or requested --- Perform any additional duties deemed necessary to meet the ongoing needs of the organization by the Director of Marketing and Communications PHYSICAL DEMANDS: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally required to stand, walk, sit; use hands to handle or feel objects, tools or controls; reach with hands and arms; climb stairs; balance; stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl.
