This is a FT hourly non-exempt position

Wage: $17/hour

Position Summary: The Fireworks Production Coordinator (Administrative ) is responsible for supporting pre show production by completing the required communication and administrative work to ensure the necessary documents, paperwork and communications are secured as necessary for legal show execution. This individual contributor works for and with the Production Lead and other administrative support staff in the facility to ensure all duties are completed on time and within budget for all shows produced out of one or more facilities. This role is cross-trained with other administrative roles within the facility and/or region. This position will report out of our Ennis, TX facility.

Essential Functions of the Fireworks Production Coordinator (Administrative): While not all-inclusive, following is a list of primary and general duties. In

In addition to these listed duties, this position may also perform other administrative tasks as assigned, shall abide by all provisions of the Employee Manual, and shall participate in Company initiatives and projects as assigned by their supervisor.

This role will be the general administrative support to the Production Lead and as needed, facility staff.

This role will confirm all lead firework technicians for all shows within an area or region.

This role is responsible for completing and submitting permit applications, gaining all necessary approved permits for all FW shows within an assigned area or region.

Liaise with AHJs authorities holding jurisdiction and lead FW technicians.

Ensure all relevant data is updated in Company ERP ( Netsuite).

Arrange and confirm applicable overnight security.

Arrange and secure travel for all Fireworks crew.

Ensure lead technician on-site arrival time has been confirmed and communicated with all relevant parties.

Generate and send purchase orders to Lead FW technicians.

Generate and send show success metrics expectations/forms and are sent to lead technicians.

Ensure Show success metrics have been completed and any issues escalated and reported to Production Lead.

Ensure Performance Plans are accurate.

This role will ensure that all applicable personnel involved in pre-show execution have an open and consistent communication path to ensure all details are accounted for.

Answer phones and greet visitors, receive and distribute mail appropriately and timely.

Education Experience for success in the Fireworks Production Coordinator role (Administrative):

High School Diploma or equivalent is required.

Excellent computer skills, including Adobe, Google Suite and Internet-based CRM/accounting platforms. (Netsuite preferred, but not required).

Proven ability to work collaboratively and at a faster than normal pace.

Experience working with the federal, state and local permitting authorities is preferred.

Knowledge of federal, state and local regulations for the safe storage and use of pyrotechnics and special effects is preferred.

Ability to quickly identify and solve problems is required

Ability to follow safety protocols is required.

Ability to multitask, track and follow up with a higher than normal attention to detail, working on several projects at one time.

Strong organizational ability while following both written and verbal instructions of supervisors.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including spelling and grammar (in English) is required

Ability to work with others to solve group problems including but not limited to: work-flow, work- load and identifying and solving roadblocks to pre-show production process.

Ability to work autonomously and leverage support so all parties complete their respective tasks.

Work Environment of the Fireworks Production Coordinator (Administrative)

This job operates in a warehouse and an office environment. This role involves frequent communication with internal employees and external contacts--via phone, email and any other professional means of communication necessary. The person in this role will frequently and routinely work in a warehouse where temperatures can fluctuate from hot to cold. This person in this role will routinely be exposed to loud noises from both machinery and product.

Physical Demands of the Fireworks Production Coordinator (Administrative)

The person in this role must be able to both move about the office and warehouse frequently, walk, bend, stoop, stand and climb, and at times, remain stationary depending on the task. This person must move about occasionally inside the office to access office machinery and to have routine contact with other facility/office staff. The person in this role must effectively interact with employees/staff both verbally and in writing, obtain information, attend meetings-or as needed to complete the essential job duties. The person in this role must have the ability to move up to 50 lbs occasionally, and up to 25 lbs frequently. This person in this role will use phones, computers and other office machinery at least 75% of the time.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work

This is a Full Time position. Hours of work are typically an 8 hour day, but there will be times when OT is needed and or required. The person in this role will need to be flexible to work hours/times as business needs dictate. The person in this role may be required to work a non-standard shift to account for administrative pre-show support on the east and the west coast. There will be some evening and weekend required. Calls taken after hours should be added to weekly hours worked.


This position requires infrequent travel, less than 25%. Travel may be mixed -- local and outside the local area and overnight.
