Job Description:

Our client is seeking a Global Controller for an immediate, direct hire opening. This individual will lead financial reporting and tax activities for both international and domestic operations. This is an excellent career opportunity with a growing company based in Pittsburgh.

This position requires an individual comfortable with developing and overseeing strategic growth initiatives. This individual must be knowledgeable and experienced in both domestic and international financial / tax matters. This position will regularly communicate with our client¿s Senior Leadership Team

Key Responsibilities:

-Direct oversight of international accounting and tax activities

-Provide counsel on all domestic and international tax issues

-Manage all tax communications, tax audits, etc.

-Identify an appropriate external accounting/tax partner ¿ and assist the client in developing and maintaining that professional relationship

-Lead hiring of the financial department for key positions

-Lead and manage the preparation of monthly financial reports and budget reports

-Assist in managing banking relationships

-Ensure proper reporting to the Senior Leadership team with regards to regional profitability, product profitability, segment profitability, and various financial analysis, etc

-Exercise independent judgment and have the ability to appropriately handle complex and confidential data

Required Skills:

-Bachelor¿s Degree in Accounting or Finance

-CPA

-Minimum 15 years of Financial Accounting/Tax experience with 10 or more years experience in International Accounting/Tax

-A minimum of 7 years as a Controller or similar position

-Manufacturing experience in a multi-site, multi-currency environment

-Excellent written and verbal communication skills

-Ability to work well with a wide variety of finance and other professionals

-Familiarity and demonstrated proficiency using Microsoft Office.
