Job Description:
Knichel Logistics is growing, and seeking to add a
business-minded, detail-oriented Staff Accountant to serve as the
lead for month-end close, and to assist in daily accounting
duties.WHAT YOU WILL DOPlay critical role in month-end close
process including completion of journal entries, without
supervisionResponsible for account reconciliations including cash,
prepaid expenses, and fixed assetsCommunicating with external
auditors and banksAssist in compilation of annual budgetMaintenance
of credit card portal and coding of credit card spend to proper GL
accounts.Assist in compiling various reports including, but not
limited to, receivable aging reports and revenue reportsAd-hoc
reporting and special projects, as requestedAll other duties and
tasks to achieve company goals and objectives as directed from the
company ControllerWHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOREXPERIENCERequired: At
least 1 to 3 years of experience in a similar role.Preferred: A
general working knowledge of technologies related to Third Party
Logistics (3PL), as well as transportation modes including
Intermodal, Less-than-Truckload (LTL), and
Over-the-Road.EDUCATIONRequired: Bachelor's Degree in Accounting,
Business Management, Management, Information Systems, or
similar.Preferred: Master's Degree in Accounting, Business
Management, Management, Information Systems, or
similar.LICENSING/REGISTRATION/CERTIFICATIONRequired:
NonePreferred: Any professional certification related to
Accounting, Business Management, or similar.REPRESENTATIVE SKILLS,
KNOWLEDGE, AND ABILITIESFinancial management skills including the
ability to manage the use of financial systems and generate
managerial financial reports as well as the ability to understand
financial reports, interpret the data, and make sound business
decisions based on the financial information.The ability to do
routine business mathematical calculations (add, subtract,
multiply, divide, fractions, decimals, ratios, etc.).Must be
knowledgeable in the use and application of information technology
to enhance productivity and facilitate effective management. This
includes computer-based productivity software (i.e. MS Word and
Excel), ERP systems, CRM systems, and accounting systems (i.e.
QuickBooks).Communication skills, both verbal and in writing
including the ability to deliver informal verbal presentations
based on interpreted financial informationThe ability to identify a
goal, set objectives, and independently track progress to the
goal's conclusionThe ability to maintain discretion and
confidentiality when handling sensitive company financial
